STEM Crafts & Games - 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.


Drop by Mission Creek Regional Park (beside the playground) for hands-on arts, crafts and science-based games! Join WWest (Westcoast Women in Engineering, Science and Technology) and iStAND Outreach for fun activities that explore science, creativity, and our connection to the natural world. 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – drop-in

syilx Traditional Plant Use Tour - 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.


Join a guided walk and circle of learning in Mission Creek Regional Park led by Jasmine Peone, an Indigenous knowledge keeper from the Westbank First Nation community of the syilx nation. You’ll discover different plants and learn about their edible, medicinal, and practical uses. Registration required.

Owl Prowl - 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.


Whoo’s ready for an evening adventure? Join us for an evening hike through Mission Creek Regional Park as we search for owls and other nocturnal creatures. Discover the mysteries of the night and learn about these fascinating birds of prey. Registration required.

Trash Talk: An Earth Day Film - 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.


Join the RDCO waste reduction team for a special screening of the Canadian short film Class Project, The Garbage Movie. A playful, yet insightful, look at waste, consumption, and environmental responsibility decades before it became mainstream. If you are curious about local sustainability efforts or just love a good retro film, this event promises inspiration, connection and meaningful dialogue. Registration required.

Earth Hour Night Walk - 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.


Let’s turn off technology and take to the trails at night! Join in on this guided, one-hour walk through Mission Creek Regional Park to honour our commitment to looking after Mother Earth. Special surprises will be set up along the way to make this activity stand out. Registration required.
